Look, we're not gonna feed you the usual corporate spiel about being 'number one' or 'world-class'. What we will tell you is this - Halcyon Valorium started because someone actually gave a damn about creating a space where people could truly unwind. Since opening our doors in 2012, we've been that spot in Vancouver where luxury doesn't feel stuffy and wellness isn't just a trendy word slapped on a brochure.
Started with just 32 suites and a vision - create something different in Vancouver's hotel scene. People told us we were crazy mixing high-end accommodations with a proper wellness center. Guess we proved 'em wrong.
Added the full-service spa after guests kept asking where they could get a proper massage. Turned out that wellness thing wasn't just a phase - people really wanted it.
Opened our restaurant after realizing guests didn't wanna leave the property for a decent meal. Chef Marcus came onboard and honestly changed the game for us.
Corporate clients kept booking out entire floors, so we figured we'd give them proper event spaces. Now we host everything from board meetings to destination weddings.
We're still that boutique hotel at heart, just with more to offer. Same commitment to making sure you actually enjoy your stay instead of just surviving it.
Not the fake smile kind - we mean actually caring about whether you're comfortable. Our team doesn't read from scripts, they just treat you like a human being.
We're not trying to be the flashiest or most Instagram-famous. Just focused on making sure the beds are comfortable, the food tastes amazing, and everything works like it should.
This isn't about putting cucumber slices on your eyes and calling it self-care. We've got licensed therapists, proper equipment, and programs that actually work.
Vancouver's an incredible city and we're proud to be part of it. We work with local suppliers, support neighborhood businesses, and can point you to the spots tourists don't know about.
No hidden fees, no bait-and-switch tactics. The price we quote is what you pay, and if something's not right, we'll actually fix it instead of making excuses.
Yeah, we care about the planet. Energy-efficient systems, reduced waste, eco-friendly products - doing our part without making a huge deal about it.
